Money Market Accounts – Offered by the banks too, the money market accounts are found to be more liberal than the certificates of deposit. The way of functioning of money market accounts is similar to the money market funds.
Bonds – There are also short term bonds in which you can invest only for a year or two. The yields in the bonds are often found to be around three percent. For gaining huge profits you will have to put in more amount of capital.
Real estate – Real estate is also an excellent option for short term investment but difficult compared to the rest of the investment options. This is because it needs a procurement of a high amount of starting capital to catch up with the investment.
